Discipleship

Discipleship

Discipleship is a continuous journey, and only possible in relationship – with God and with others. At Bellingham Christian, building relationships is paramount. Our mission is impossible without relationship! We strive to implement programs and practices that connect our students with God and others through various happenings and rhythms. We gather weekly within grade-band communities to learn and worship during chapels, pray together in our classrooms, and teach daily from a Biblical perspective.

We feel privileged to share the blessing and responsibility of partnering with parents in the spiritual formation of their student(s). In middle school and high school, we take our students off campus to build community, have fun in creation, and go deeper spiritually. When difficulties arise –academically, socially, behaviorally, or spiritually– parents and school staff engage in problem solving together to promote Christ-like outcomes highlighting Kingdom principles of truth, love, and unity.

As a community, we work to build relationship within and outside our community, partnering with our Parent Teacher Fellowship to put on various events throughout the year, weekly intercession meetings with Parents in Prayer, connecting older students with younger buddies monthly, and service opportunities both locally and globally.
